This week, we're preparing one of my all time favourite snacks: chocolate-dipped dates. This sweet treat is super easy to prepare and requires only a few ingredients.
They're not very pretty but I assure you, they're unbelievable. They're the perfect ending to every meal and the ideal middle-of-the-day snack!
Ingredients (for 10 dates):
10 medjool dates
150g dark chocolate (dairy free)
20 almonds
Peanut butter (optional)
Method:
1. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
2. In the meanwhile, pit the dates.
3. Stuff every date with a teaspoon of peanut butter (optional) and two almonds.
4. Dip the dates in the melted chocolate, making sure that they're completely covered.
5. Place the chocolate-dipped dates on a plate covered with baking paper and let them sit in the fridge for a couple of hours, until the chocolate becomes solid.
6. Enjoy!
